Engaging Ideas: The Professor’s Guide to Integrating Writing, Critical Thinking, and Active Learning in the Classroom was written for faculty from any discipline who are looking for engaging critical thinking activities that stimulate inquiry, exploration, discussion, and debate. Author John Bean integrates recent pedagogical research, addresses quantitative and scientific literacy, includes activities for online and blended learning environments, and offers new ideas for transformative assessment of student learning.
